The current pandemic taught us that we could overcome any crisis as long as we supported each other. Heartwarming and inspiring stories have circulated the internet, mostly centering on the struggles of pet owners. Two particular homeless men experienced first-hand the difficulties of looking after their pets’ needs while trying to go through a lockdown.
Francois and Roger were responsible dog owners, often addressing their pets’ needs more than their own. But since they were staying at temporary housing facilities in the midst of a pandemic, they decided to leave their pups with an animal rescue organization, Cape of Good Hope SPCA, while they sorted out their accommodations.
Francois and his dog Dragon spent the last several years weathering the countless challenges that life threw at them. Money may have been scarce, but Francois was determined to let Dragon live a healthy and full life. But with the lockdown, they had to temporarily part ways for a few days in order for Francois to find better living conditions for both of them.
Roger and his dog Max suffered a similar fate. This duo also had to separate for a month, even though being apart during these hard times added enough burden on Roger’s shoulders. However, this man was also determined to find a safer and more permanent place that would allow him to keep his beloved Max.
The Cape of Good Hope SPCA was more than happy to help these two men out as they struggled to rise above their own troubles. It was evident how much they truly loved their dogs and providing a safe environment was their utmost priority. Luckily, both men were able to find adequate housings that let them keep their furry companions.
When the two men reunited with their adorable pups, people cheered happily for them. Everyone was confident Francois and Roger would never give up on their dogs, no matter what happens.
