Dogs are cute, but they can be a handful sometimes. A bunch of police officers had experienced it first-hand with a ran-away pooch.
When the Police Department of Cape May was alerted of misconduct across town, they responded immediately. What they found was a delinquent but undoubtedly adorable furball. They thought it ran away from home and now is lost in town.
The officers in the said department went across town to pick up a mischievous pooch. She got lost around town after breaking free from home and went out looking for pets and kisses. So the officer picked her up and decided to bring her to the station to keep her safe.
The officers did not know who is the owner of the pooch. And so they thought of a bright idea. They took a mug shot of the dog and posted it on social media. It was hilarious.
Little did the officers know, the mug shot quickly went viral. The photo was shared by a considerable number of people on social media. People found it amusing.
One police officer said that the post was not to make fun of the dog. It indeed made a lot of people smile. But they did what they did because social media is an excellent place to find leads that can help the case.
It was all thanks to the officer’s smart use of social media. Their efforts were fruitful.
Someone saw the post on Facebook. It just so happen that he also knows the owner who was contacted immediately. And soon enough, the owner was informed of the dog’s whereabouts.
The owner came to the police station as soon as she had the details. And finally, the pooch and the owner were reunited once more.
The officers only hope that the mischievous pooch does not go off, wandering alone again. The town is a place big enough for a very adorable dog to get lost.
